Really great fun to see so many people double take on my new barnet and not be too sure it was really me!
Dance highlight was DavidB and a lovely slender girl dancer in a black lace top with long dark hair who I have never seen before "take the floor" right in front of me in me front row armchair in the blues room. I don't
think they will have danced before, the master started gently and over two or three tracks "pushed" isn't the right word, maybe "smoothed" is better, her following skills in his own inimitable fashion. Really delightful to watch this develop through the gears. I may be completely wrong but I got the feeling she didn't (cringeable phrase but most will know what I mean) "know who he was" and she seemed to just go with it without any seflconciousnessment (sic). It's spontaneous moments like that that remind me what these gatherings are all about really.
