OK.

I found the files - they have .m4p suffix.

A bit of Googling showed these are DRM protected AAC files (Apple format)

The only route to get the track son to an iRiver seems to be to burn an Mp3 or music CD then re-import that using my mp3 ripper.

Tedious.
