Indeed, it is almost impossible to anticipate other people's moves Even when you are keeping an eye on the available space...

However I find that most 'clashes' occur during simple moves, an elbow here, a head there...
Probably not paying enough attention, but it is easy to get carried away by the right move / at the right time / with the right partner and forget the right space !
Still a lot safer than Rugby / Football etc... and watching tv is bad for you.
