Seems to work for me Chris - suppose it depends if you do actually type the text you want to appear in colour into the pop up box that appears - it says something like - type here the text you wish to appear in colour...........

If you are just typing in the reply box you have to start with a tag as in [COLOR = "whatever colour you are after"] then type your text then the end tag as in [/color]
