Many modern devices come with upgradeable software. The device has programmable memory. It should be possible for an area of one-time programmable memory to be allocated for the first owners ID details. If the device is lost/stolen the first owner of it could be identified.
If anybody thinks this is a good idea I suggest that mention it to any manufacturers that they communicate with. |
