Brilliant Scot, well done for letting us all know already.

Personally, I think it's better to have the party in the same place as the competition as it makes it much easier for those who have to travel.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the reason the tickets were expensive if you only wanted to come at night is due to the restrictions on the number of people you can have in the hall. There will be a set number that can be allowed in - so if people only buy tickets for the party in the evening it limits the numbers that can come during the day and therefore people are encouraged to buy tickets for the whole event.
Does this make sense? - what I mean is - if the hall holds 400 and 200 people buy tickets to come at night it means only 200 can get tickets for all day.

Right or wrong Scot?????????
