But, wait, there is at least one positive positive to record. Following the advice so freely offered, what was once the source of constant anxiety and awkwardness has now become a positive pleasure .... at times, a surprisingly sensual pleasure. There's no rigid formula, the connection is more relaxed, the touch lighter ..... whether fingertip to fingertip, or second finger at the centre of the lady's upturned palm as she turns, whatever, it just happens, and there's a moment of pure joy before the arm comes down, the foot steps back, and it's decision time again.

How is your decision making getting on now some 6 weeks later on Whitebeard, are your silky dancing skills wooing the ladies? I certainly hope so.

Thanks under par ..... there's good and bad news here. There have been just one or two dances when the decisions seem to have made themselves in one smooth flow, the dance really did feel 'silky', and the thanks at the end no mere polite formality but, I felt, an expression of real appreciation. That's the good.

The bad is that just as these good things were starting to happen I developed an attack of sciatica ..... the last thing a dancer needs. So here I am entering the fifth week bereft of my twice weekly fix of MJ and still waiting for that sciatic nerve to settle down. Lackaday rue time again !!
