Reputation Total: 1316   |  Hosting a dance party This, absolutely, will be my last post tonight. I have thought about holding a Saturday night "dance party" in Central London. Strangely - maybe it's a cost thing - London is usually poorly served for MJ events on a Saturday night - or maybe I'm not on the "A-list". So, I'll host one meeself. Any suggestions advice about what venue must have, what to avoid etc. ? Initial thoughts: An All Bar One type venue in the City - reason: Wooden floors and City bars should be empty on a Saturday night. Or am I dreaming? Pricing - enough to cover the cost of three bar people, one DJ for one night and the venue takes all the bar profit (excessive given Central Lodon prices) Any experience doing this kind of thing? I suppose advertising will be tricky unless I "brand" the evening with our friendly Ceroc MegaCorp. |
