I love MJ because the wide range of music and the lack of 'correct' footwork means you can be relaxed and creative and do fun bits of improvisation. Plus there seem to be many more good MJ leaders than in salsa, so I get more lovely dances in an evening! I didn't really get very far with ballroom/latin because it was a bit too formal for me.

Thanks for the welcome - people are being very friendly!
Just press the smaller multi quote button next to the normal quote button for each one then press the normal quote button (of any quote or say the last one whether it actually matters or not I don't know).

Thanks for the dances at the Tea Party yesterday! You're both lovely dancers and I look forward to dancing with you again next time I'm up Dundee way.

Thanks! You've helped me over my "ooh, I'm too scared to dance with any new men" phobia. Jeanag and I are now planning to hit the party season at full pelt

Hi,

I'm Dan, I dance either in Nantwich (and surrounding area) in the holidays and Oxford (and very occasionally London) in term time. I'd like to think I'm not up my own arse about dancing. That is all.

Thanks for the welcome

The name gebandemuishond means banded mongoose in Afrikaans (I come from southern africa and really like mongooses), if you know any Dutch I think it's pretty similar, striped mouse-dog or something like that.

I may well be the Dan you're thinking of at Nantwich, are you Two At A Time Steve?

At stockport? I seem to remember that causing a bit of a stir.

I don't tend to dance with that many men, feel honoured!

For a test (and a laff), I asked a bloke the other weekend and got turned down. Then he turned to his male mate immediately and danced with him.

LOL!

No need to post a full biography (though you are welcome to ), just a few words about who you are, how you started dancing ,
how you found out about the Forum
and any other quirky feature you would like to share.

To start the ball rolling, my name is Franck, Ceroc teacher and franchisee for Glasgow, Perth and Aberdeen (soon Stirling). I have been teaching for over 10 years now, and started (with Jean Harris) the first Ceroc night ever in Scotland, as well as pretty much every other class in Scotland since

I dance in Perth (where I am currently teaching) and in Glasgow / Aberdeen when I visit the venues. I can also be found dancing at most Glasgow / Aberdeen parties and very occasionally at Dundee / Edinburgh parties.

I have too many quirks to mention, but being a French man with a Scottish accent and an orange kilt will do for starters.

Ceroc for me is a way to make myself and other people happy and I started this Forum as a way to bring Cerocers across Scotland together.

So here you are, your turn!

Franck.
I dance in Scotland, mainly Aberdeen, and discovered Ceroc 8 years ago after a life changing event. Ceroc reminded me to smile beamingly. unfortunately, I took another five year break from Ceroc and am now looking to become a committed addict to Ceroc.
