how do you pick a book

hi i love to read and quite fancy the idea of this book club. how do i find out which book it is that is chosen for the month.

I'm not sure that the Book Club ever got off the ground sadly ... but if you scan back the "What I have read" thread that might give you some ideas

It tells you who the author is, which is a good guide to the contents, and there's usually a bit of blurb and a teaser synopsis.
