Rep Power: 1 Rep.: 46 | So, it's back to business... Maybe there's a thread on this already, but on a surface search I couldn't find one. If, like me, you'd like to share with the world your frustration at being back at work already, please express this below in any way (publishable) you deem appropriate. I'll get the ball rolling: Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarg! How the bloomin' 'ell has it got round to that time already? All those depressing Sunday- evening feelings will be coming back to haunt and I'm gonna have to think up a whole load of new hiding places around work for avoiding the boss! And I don't wanna hear from you smug people who haven't started back yet, or have been on exciting holidays somewhere and have some downtime before it's back to work. THIS IS A SPACE FOR A GOOD GRIPE! There, I feel so much better already! |

Its the prospect of getting myself and my three kids up at 6 tomorrow morning, when we have all been used to having a nice lie in until 9 or 10am every day for the last 2 weeks. Even though I have laid out all their school uniform next to their beds...i just know they will still take an hour to put on one sock....the wrong way round. I'm not looking forward to my next pay slip either.....two weeks unpaid leave to look after the kids is going to make my eyes bleed.....God knows what I will do during the 6 weeks summer holidays Has anyone got a blunt spoon?....I would like to poke myself in the eye with it. ![]() |

But we all paced ourselves in work today and while I got on with things, it felt more of a easing back in, than plunging straight into really busy, I think because a lot of our staff are still off. It was nice to see work colleagues again - I work with some lovely people. ![]()

And when it's not that then it's dead humid - humid heat isn't that great either. oh and it's freezing cold in the office since they put AC at full capacity. I even need a jumper, how stupid is that? do I get sympathy now? ![]()

By the way (believing the photo to be related to your current location) what I was overwhelmed with was envy. I can't imagine what you were thinking, but I'm sure I disapprove... ![]()

It’s the time of year when the Daily Mail the CBI or who ever say that we are losing £32 Billion (I exaggerate) of business because people are taking longer off etc going back later to work etc etc ie 8th Jan etc Of course its all *******s 90% will be using their holiday entitlement anyway Seems to me people work more then ever My bosses boss seems to enjoy sending e-mail at 7am on Sundays and wouldn’t been seen dead without a blackberry on the beach on ‘holiday’ , he has wife and 2 kids Maybe as he is 6 months younger then me and is my bosses boss that’s the life style he chooses I do f*** A** at work but still score above average because I produce the results require for my level of work Ill still choose to sleep at 7am on Sunday rather then send work e-mails. Now where is my next holiday going to be |
