On a similarly ironic note (but far more sensible), Hector Munro's (Saki) last words, spoken just before a sniper shot him in the trenches during WW1 are reputed to have been: 'Put that damned cigarette out!'

Oh - and urban legend has it that there have been quite a few firearms instructors who's last words were along the lines of: 'Point that *(&(*&" thing somewhere el...'

Re: Famous last words

I'm not sure what my last words would be, but do you think I'd have time to start my own RIP thread on the forum?

A roof workers mate allegedy suggexted that they shoulduse boards on an corrugated asbestosroof on a factory, but the roofer said, stepping out, £When the good Lord want to take me ..."

There was also a report of a doctor who was visiting a patient, but paused to take his own pulse and said "Stopped.".

Re: Famous last words

Ideal last words: "I knew she was only 21, but I didn't know she was your daughter. Now put the gun down, please - don't you know I'm 98 years old?"

More likely last words: "Don't worry, it's perfectly sa..."

Most likely last words: "Oh sh*t."

From a conversation I had last night about how busy my friend and I always are, all the things we want to do/places we want to go…

“But I haven’t done everything yet!”
"Hold on have i locked the front door?"

Kel_Warminster is on a distinguished road
Re: Famous last words

Mel Blanc's epitaph (the chap who voiced Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam, Barney Rubble, and hundreds of other cartoons) was "That's all Folks!".

Think I'd like this as my choice as well
