...it was a bit more complicated and it'll take a little longer to mend but fingers crossed that it's sorted. Mike was originally told it was gastroentiritus (thank god my cooking's now off the hook

)...and endured a lot of pain before being told to go straight to hospital this morning. It transpires that his appendics had burst....need I say anymore!

When I turned up at the hospital ward the nurses were all speaking in their native tongue...and didn't understand me

I persisted for 30 minutes repeating Mike's name...and was just lucky that a nurse's aid overheard me in the end and told me that Mike was still in theatre. The whole thing has been a fiasco....I dread to think what it's like for others who get bad news.....

...on a brighter note though I reckon Mikeyr looks the business in his newly acquired backless gown!

Thank you on his behalf right now for the best wishes...I'm sure you'll recieve a thank you in person soon.

PS..did I mention how camp that nurse's aid was

I expect the nurses will soon be fighting over who's turn it is to give him a bed bath!

Get well soon Mikey. I remember being in hospital for 5 hours with grumbling appendicitis once.. that was bad enough.

Thank you to all those people who have taken the time to send me their best wishes it helped me to smile through some really tough times and it was really appreciated, trust me!!

I had had a burst appendix. Apparently they got me just in time(I slept through the whole thing

)! It took two separate operations to put me back together. And judging by the number of tubes that I had going in and out of me it did look pretty bad.

I would like take the time to pay tribute to all the nursing staff on my hospital ward not only for the high level of medical care they provided to all but also for the high level of humanity maintained throughout, all this despite the obvious lack of resourses and support!

They do an amazing job!!! they deserve our support!
