Racing 'style'

Looking at today's Daily Mail article on what women are wearing to the races, don't think there was one outfit that seemed to flatter its wearer. Can anyone find one?

You've missed mentioning one of the best bits - it's worth looking at some of the comments as well:
"Shock horror, there is no curtain material left in Liverpool."
"What a sight, they look like they are all dressed for the Christmas Panto...ugly sisters or what!"
"I didn't know it was pantomime season."

A few are rather fetching, but the majority have taste that is up their pants.
But, then that's only my opinion.

3rd pic down, white dress and black cardigan.
5th picture, Yellow and black dress.
18th set, white catsuit.
19th set, white dress with frills.
There you go that's 4 nice outfits.
Mind you there were an awful lot of hideous ones too!

Good grief! There are some truly hideous outfits there. Was it a bad taste theme day or something? Not just a matter of not flattering the wearer - it looked like gathering of women who just appear to have not the first clue in how to dress themselves.

I thought dressing up for the races was about being elegant and graceful?

Not as ghastly as most & does show off her waist, but makes her chest look lumpy and bigger than it is (not in a good way) because she has such a high neckline.

Yes (shame about the fake tan coupled with pale pink lipstick)

Nooo, it looks way too tight & tarty (in another colour it might have worked, but not white) - shows every wrinkle - and the lace gloves [/quote]

Re: Racing 'style'

yellow on blondes really cannot work especially that light yellow...i do like the yellow suit but it woud look much nicer on a brunette

the pink dress with the matching hat was nice

the pink checked dress on the blonde looked terrible...whether the woman was older or not it made her look like mutton dressed as lamb. gingham is back in but the dress was too tight and made her look more like an extra from little house in the prairie...

if i was to ever be invited to the races i would probably wear my nice black and white short sleeved just above the knee dress and black peeptoes..like fletch i like to match my outfits..

Helloooooo is LIVERPOOL .... what self respecting lass would step out of the door without her obligatory 'Tango' tan?

I used to think it was just a myth ... till I worked with a client in Bootle. I saw some photos on the social noticeboard and assumed that the colour processing was badly off ... then I met them in person Even in the office we had a fair few girls who were literally orange ..... WHY DO THEY DO THAT?

Re: Racing 'style'

I can understand that at time we might disagree as to whether something suits somebody or not. I've got a couple of outfits that I think look great but my Mum hates and vice versa, but you think most people would be able to work out whether something fits or not; the bits of flesh hanging over the top, bulging out of the side etc usually give it away!

And it's not like they didn't know their would be cameras there!

Re: Racing 'style'

Gobsmacked by the sheer awfulness of it all.

Also I'm surprised at the way the maxi dress has taken off. Don't they know they look like they've stepped off the set of a 70's sitcom??

And Alex Curran and pals look a bit creepy - it's the Stepford Wives!
