Rep Power: 3 Rep.: 290 ![]() ![]() | Re: Bognor - how did it go then? Right feeling more with it now .... I spent my weekend learning west coast swing .... I know late starter but wow great dance . wicked teaching from Paul and cat ,but the weekend for me belongs to Steve from New York. He gave a private lesson that can only be described as the most detailed description of the feel and reasoning behind the dance and what a start it gave Nicole and myself. Great to see forum buddies for dances, i really liked the music over the whole weekend and i felt there was a good mix for everyone. Live band hmmmmm good call by Franco to call them off just were to fast... had a couple of dances during there set and swiftly died after. Sum up great fun, good dances, new friends. ![]() |

Like Simonr says, Steve's private lesson gave such a fantastic solid grounding in WCS it really gave you a sound base to work from. My only regret was not being able to dance with Steve Neeren to be able to have a chance to consolidate what I had learnt Thanks to Simon & Nicole for being such good company over the weekend, but wish I had could have danced with a lot more people that I knew were there, but the main dance hall is so big, with so many people there just isn't chance to get to see everyone!!! Oh, and big thanks to Trampy for looking after me. And an even bigger thanks to Tone for putting up with me. This was my first Jivetime weekender and I was well impressed. I now want to spread a vicious rumour about Sparkles. She scoffed the whole of her birthday cake herself!!!! M |

I was only there for Sunday night, I had a great time but I kept flitting between the blues/WCS room and the main room, mainly because I loved the music in the blues room, (IMO, from what I heard, the dj's there were doing a fab job ) but it was SOO quiet in there , sometimes only a handful of couples dancing so I ventured over to the main room, where it was very busy, a bit too busy in fact but the atmosphere was great It's a real shame but for some reason?????? that 'other' room just doesn't seem to work Maybe there needs to be an 'event' of some kind, at midnight, to attract more dancers over there because I lost count of the amount of people I met in the main room, who said, if there were more people there, it would have been their preferred choice of venue. I felt really sorry for the Dj's I had some great dances with our birthday girl, I've never danced 'blues' with a girl before, woooooooooo, I can see why men like dancing with the Sparkly one! A big thank you to all you others I danced with too, I don't think I had a bad dance all night! Quote:

It was the introduction of a live band in the main hall. Had dancers flocking to the blues room The live band where an excellent band but just not the right tempo for MJ IMHO. The Blues room was certainly buzzing for an hour or two. roll on Southport eh!! ![]()
