Okie. Here's the chance for you to put up your New Years Resolutions. And then, you can also put up when you break them

My resolution is to find a new job. And to dance more

I just need to find a decent venue on a Friday (that I'm allowed into!), and I'll be all set.

How come that Friday night is the most sparce night of the week for dancing. There's one venue in London, on just south of Gatwick, and none (I believe) in Scotland.

You'd think there'd be more going on at the start of the weekend, surely?

Steve,

I'm not sure were you are and aren't allowed into so bare with me, but I can think of at least Ceroc events on every Friday in London, St Marys Baker Street and the Caspar. As well as that Amir was until very recently running a fusion workshop in the dance atic in Fulham every Friday.

Other than that, Rock on down to Bar Madrid early enough and you can get some Salsa!

Thanks for the suggestions. Casbah is one place I'm not allowed to attend. And Amir's classes didn't have any freestyle - and these days, I tend only to go to the freestyles. What is this other place that you speak of in Baker Street? It's not ceroc - at least, it's not listed on the ceroc website.

One day, I will be good enough to go to salsa events. At the moment though, I'm still a real beginner at salsa. Getting there though

Resolutions don't usually work for me but maybe 2003 will be the year!

1. Keep the glass "half full", forget "half empty" if you know what I mean

2. Get back to study, what I do not know! need to challenge myself again

3. Dance as much as possible

4. Do things that scare me but have always wanted to do ie ski both water and snow. Say YES more often

5. Entertain more - all part of the "be more positive" thing

6. Try to be a bit more interesting on the forum!

Nope, you're quite right. What's the point - I never stick to them anyway! (Too spineless, lazy, cowardly, etc.) But for what it's worth, here are my select 5:-

1. Not to enter any competitions this year. Too stressful!

2. Learn a new routine - I'm heartily sick of It's Raining Men & Lady Marmalade/Let's Get Loud

3. Do a cabaret in Scotland (provided Franck asks us!)

4. Go up north more often to dance. People are infinitely more friendly there. Guys actually ask me to dance!!!

5. Work a little less hard. I need to slow down in my old age.

Oh no. You are guarenteed many dances. If I actually see you. I think that the only times I saw you at Camber, were when you were talking to Lisa and Laura in the foyer, and when you were doing the cabaret. Both times it was a little difficult to ask you for a dance....

But hopefully I'll see more of you at Bognor.

You and me both. I've only been going 8 weeks but it is fun and I think I'm slowly getting better. I've been going to Bar Cuba on Mondays (Lydia teaches there normally - though she has been ill lately).

As for the dance night at Baker Street, it is Ceroc, Cliff & Penny teach there. It just isn't part of Ceroc Londons Franchise so Ceroc London don't advertise it. It is run specifically by Ceroc to raise money for charity. It used to be held at St Pauls, South Kensington until about 6 months ago. It is actually the biggest Ceroc venue in London apart from Hammersmith. The dance floor is superb.

Not this time. We only have the one routine at the moment, and we just did it at Camber. Our next routine is months away from being ready.
