My e-mail has been broken the last few days.

Hi folks.

Some forumites have tended to send me e-mails instead of PM's which is fine.

I have unfortunately received several hundred spam e-mails in the last few days, and so my in-box is permanently full. If an e-mail arrives, and there is no space at the time, then it never gets to me - ever.

If you have sent me an e-mail in the last few days, can you let me know by PM please.

It looks like it will take another few days to sort out.

Hmm, you don't sound all that happy...

But if you're getting spam at the rate of several hundred a day, your email address is obviously in the hands of the spammers, probably on lots of their lists. You could go down the road of anti-spam software, but it might be easier to just get another email address.

And ensure that you then never sign up to anything, or publish it anywhere where it could appear on a web page - or it'll just get harvested again and you'll be back where you are now.

My e-mail trouble started when I was offered a free domain name.

Have never actually used it.

This was the one which was harvested.

Have decided it was more trouble than it was worth, and so have got rid of it.

Problem solved.
