I disagree. I'd put the big and animated ones into the "more" list, and keep the compose window tidy!

(And anyway, who still clicks on them when they're easier just to type???

A proper letter?! I can't remember the last time I did that! I do sometimes have to stop myself from signing off my work emails with:

Only one set of [i][/i]'s are required, but there's an easier way when you don't want *any* smilies in your message, and that is to tick the no smilies in message check-box...

? is it me but as I was putting these up as soon as I clicked on a smiley in the normal box I kept getting pop ups from the "more" box!

perhaps Frank is watching and listening
