Every now and then you come accross some quirky recipe or strange eating fad that sounds a bit yuk, then you try it and discover that it's rather nice, I just had a hot cross bun with marmalade and it was rather delicious

Have you got any odd little snacks? Be brave, let us all know!

Ummmm oxo!!

Ever tried it?

Try this recipe...(sounds absolutely minging, but is in fact, yummy! I blame my Dad for getting me into this!)

Get 2 or 3 rounds of bread.
Break them up into little pieces and place them in a bowl.
Next, get some chedder cheese and cut into little cubes.
Through into bowl.
2 cubes of oxo and crush over the bread and cheese.
Add one teaspoonful of butter.
Pour boiling water over the top and stir it all up.

Re: Forum food

I went to a boarding school, where there was always loads of fried bread but no toast for breakfast. As a result, I like fried bread with marmelade. Don't have it very often though.

Roll and potato scone, dry off all oil (or whatever you cook it in) add small amount of tomato sauce; very bad, but very good!

Enjoy in moderation
