One of the better days in life is when somebody tells you that a certain kitchen, appliance does not work, and comes round to show you the manuel, complaining that it will not work, and it won't turn on, in a big bold picture about 3 inches in size it says put in 4 batteries, low and behold no batteries , well some days its worth getting out of bed for

Why does that irritating woman insist on telling me I am going the wrong way, and telling me to turn left instead of right

Don't the manufacturers know that women are useless at directions

That reminds me of a hilarious journey in Lucy Locket's car last year. The man kept saying:

'Turn around now'

and she didn't, and he said:

'Turn around now' again....

By then our imaginations were running riot, Miss Conduct was in the car .

Lucy Locket continued driving the 'wrong way' (In His Opinion)...Then he seemed to get even more Masterful.

'Turn around now!'

We were in hysterics by then, the more he did it the more we wanted to drive the wrong way .


Then of course he went into one of those long silent sulks, like they do.


I seem to remember it took us an awfully long time to get to Cheshunt that night.....

Maybe we should have done what he said in the first place?

The voice selected for pilot warnings in US military aircraft (F16, etc) was a woman's voice, and was selected after exhaustive tests as to which woman had the voice that the pilots found it impossible to ignore.

Once in service the voice was christened 'bitchin' Betty'. Maybe the GPS people saw the same test results...

of course there is also the main problem that men won't even turn on their tom tom cos they don't need to ask directions . . .
