Sorry UP.......Seems it was a hoax, but a link appeared on a soocer fanzine site that appeared to be from the BBC that Graham Souness had been appointed as ENGLAND manager. Link worked first time I tried it, but doesn't work now.......

Sorry, I should of course have said "the finals" being extended to 64 teams (Scotland's Fifa ranking being 62 currently), but I am sure I've just introduced a whole new set of innaccuracies in this statement as well
