A friend of mind decided to shave most of his body hair off (chest etc) He now tells me it itching like hell what should he do ? Will it grow back worse ? He tells me he has never done it before but just thought what the hell, if Beckham can do it etc Should he have waxed ? (he isn’t touching his legs) What do ladies and or men do with unwanted body hair or when they just feel like they should experiment ?? Im sure if its not you there must be ‘stories’ of your ‘friends’, doing stuff that has or hasn’t worked ?? ![]() |

Shaving is perhaps the easiest option, but can itch Hair removal cream (great stuff, but messy and can smell horrid, not always wonderfully effective) Waxing - very effective, be careful of ingrown hairs & burns if you are doing it yourself. Pain can be an issue. Sugaring - similar to waxing - usually done by professional Depilation machine - similar to waxing since it's pulling out the hairs by the roots, but the pain lasts longer Can be cost effective.Electrolysis - effective, but can take six months Laser - quick, less painful than waxing, but expensive

The most effective and cheapest exfoliator (dead skin remover, to you) is ordinary granulated sugar, mixed with some form of oil, Olive oil will do but a scented massage oil with smell better. Do this in the shower! Quote:

The good things about waxing are, the hairs are ripped out, so you get a few weeks hair free. And when the hair grows back, they are 'new' hairs, which as explained before, are soft and fine, so hardly any bristles. The more you have it done, the less the hair grows back! Ladies who've waxed for years, have mush less re-growth! The downside, it's painful and as FP said, you can get in-growing hairs, so, regular exfoliating is a must! Quote:
So, the ideal combination is very pale skin and very dark hair! It will have no effect at all on white hair and can cause severe skin damage to darks skins! If you going down the laser route, you need to stay out of the sun for the duration of the treatment. Anyway Stewart, for a novice like you, i'd start off with a depilatory cream, they seem to be the easiest and most foolproof, just don't leave it on too long! And don't itch you head, during the application! ![]()

For a long time I have wondered (and discussed with male friends) why women shave/wax everything. General opinion is we prefer a bit of hair, as long as we're not choking on it. By analogy, probably many women like a bit of hair on their men.l | |
