What format do avatars have to be in to be animated? Just uploaded a animated gif and it doesn't work. just stays static.

Also tried linking to it which didn't work either.

If this is true, does it mean that no one will have animated avatars unless they are already uploaded?

If the gif is too big then it won't animate!

Check the size of your file! ALternatively upload the original here and i'll try and modify it!

The original animated gif needs to be no bigger than 98x98 or else when it is downscaled by the forum software, the animation is lost.
