yes, there is... when the smilies were first added, I had omitted the second colon, and it upset some Forum users... Can't remember which thread it was discussed in but should be easy to find.
I corrected the mistake later on but by then, all the posts made using those smilies had broken codes, so I kept both versions, with or without the second :

Should just bite the bullet and remove the wrong one!
