How to do multiple quotes ?

I can manage to do a single quote in my posts.

However when I try to respond with a multiple quote, e.g.

I would like to do something like this :---------

Quote
Bob said " Salsa is best" quote.

No it is not

Quote
bob says " another inane comment" quote

Well done bob I agree.

----------------------------

Or even to quote form several sources in one post.

Have tried copying and pasting but it did not work.

How is it done ?

thanks,

johnthehappyguy

Note the [ QUOTE] (which starts a quote) and [ /QUOTE] (which ends it) around the quoted text (you'll have to click reply to see these, but don't send till you're ready). You have to take out the space between the square bracket and the next character for the forum software to interpret what comes between them as stuff to display as a quote.

Then once you've noted that, you just surround anything you want to quote with the 'start' and 'end' bits, and

Quote:
you can
quote

Quote:
anything you like
It's good practice to cite the source of your quote in the first quote, with the name after the '=' sign.

The secret of getting the quoting right is to use the Preview button before you post. Then you can see immediately if you've put the quote/endquote bits round your text correctly.

If you haven't, or you've missed out a [ , ], or / from the code, you end up with something like:

[quote=johnthehappyguy... who didn't really say this[/quote]

... which tends to look a bit naff.

Hope this helps.
