Re: How long will you live?

As dancers, perhaps we are lucky... all said and done, how many people truly get to live, even for just one day..[/quote]

It is amazing how much we take for granted and it is only when we lose things that we realise how good they were. One minute we are merrily going along and the next minute your life completely changes.

My accident has really made me appreciate the simple things in life like walking, driving and being able to do basic things and of course dancing.

I intend to make the most of things once I am well again. No more moaning about Tina Arena tracks. It has also made me realise how difficult it must be for people with permanent disabilities to come to terms with things.

I am also trying to do as much as possible now so that I can avoid feeling sorry for myself. I am working from home, back driving after three weeks, despite coming up against all sorts of obstacles an dpeople trying to stop me,( so can make it to DJ at Southport).

Oh and of course taking strange life expectancy tests (make it 86 with sex change).

Too true

My neighbours wife called the doctor as she thought her husband looked unwell

The Doctor came and to called an ambulance
My neighbour told him not too bother and went back to his potting shed

When the ambulance came, blue lights flashing, he came out of his shed and told them to go away, then had a massive heart attack and passed away

90 for me too but I work with frail elderly so I know that in general they are not treated very well [except by my staff group!] and I dont know if I want to be around as long as that.

SOME teachers are highly paid, but not all of them! My Mum works in a libray, 9-5 5 days a week and earns more than me and also my best friend who is a physio!

Don't get me wrong though, I love my job and to me that is more important than a nice big pay packet. I know that as the years go on and I gain more responsibilty the wage will go up, it can take a while but as long as I wake up and look forward to going to work I will continue to teach!

Exactly - a teacher has a lucrative career path - thats more than can be said for many other jobs you can have. So to suggest a teacher is not highly paid is clearly wrong.
