Football quiz

This is quite an old quiz which I found when I was clearing out a cupboard so you may have already done it, however if not, you might enjoy having a go....

The missing words are all football teams:

to improved his _ _ _ _ _ _ _. He was sent to _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ by

the other villains on board. They were a rowdy bunch and after

a drinking session they did in fact _ _ _ _ _ _ _ furniture.

The voyage made my _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ . She had not had a

holiday _ _ _ _ _ _ too long. The sea _ _ _ did her

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ lot of good.

We landed _ _ _ _ _ _ in the day on the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ of the

island, below the hills where the natives _ _ _ _ their dead. We

crossed a _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ and entered a dense _ _ _ _ _ _

where the _ _ _ _ _ _ roamed freely. We _ _ _ _ _ _ _

regardless and eventually met a group of game _ _ _ _ _ _ _

dressed in _ _ _ _ _ _ _ green. After a day's journey we caught

dark fish in a _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ and tried unsuccessfully to get milk

from a herd of wild cows; they didn't like having their
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ .


At last we came to our destination, the home of Hawaii's

monarch, the _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ / _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ . She greeted us

with a friendly _ _ _ _ _ , but she was very upset as her

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ had been smashed when the

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ fell down. While her _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ was being

built she was forced to live in a sumptious _ _ _ _ _ .

When we found the treasure we put the _ _ _ _ _ the ship,

determined to put it in the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Building Society when we

got home.

That night for tea we had _ _ _ _ _ _ cake and _ _ _ _ _ _ _

buns, and some _ _ _ _ _ _ which made us all ill.
