Rep Power: 1 Rep.: 77  | PDF files to jpeg??? Have just spent the last two days scanning all my old photos onto computer but can't use them as I want. They're PDF files and I need them to be jpeg. Can I convert them? If so, does anyone know how? Am very stupid in this area! Please help!  |

Hmmmm... that's unfortunate - normally if they are in PDF it's for display only, so it reduces the resolution of the image - it still is a JPG, just embeded within the PDF (Like you can put a photo onto a word document). I'm fairly sure that if you managed to rip it out of the PDF it would only be of use for looking at and printing fuzzy - although I could be mistaken. Type into google "pdf jpg convert" and pick from the 2,350,000 results

Blog Entries: 2 Rep Power: 2 Rep.: 918 | Re: PDF files to jpeg??? Normally, scanning software allows you to choose between PDF & TIFF. TIFFs are easy to convert if you can't work with them directly. It may mean re-scanning them all if your software will do it. Unfortunately, the PDF process does reduce the quality of images in order to make smaller file sizes.

Rep Power: 1 Rep.: 37 | Re: PDF files to jpeg??? Try using PDF Image Extraction Wizard. It's shareware (and cheap), but the unregistered version will extract the first 3 images from each file - so not a problem if you have a separate pdf for each photo.  |
