Sorry, regardless of how enthusiastic I am about the Netgear RP614 it is not an adsl modem. I am using a Speedtouch 330 ADSL Modem too.

£40 isn't bad for 2 meg.

Yeah, I host a couple of sites, and a SourceSafe database to which my partners have VPN access, and I make upgrades to the app I'm building available via download. I can't really claim 99.999% uptime, but it's not bad considering it's just bog standard ADSL with a router in between, not even any mirroring or UPS.

But I really dont want to have to muck about with dynamic IPs, even though there are work arounds. I don't see any reason for it, now that people with ADSL are likely to be online more than not - there's no way an ISP can afford to have more customers than IP addresses any more, so charging more for static is just a rip off IMHO.
