Open Source / Linux CD backup that spans CD-R

Hi,

I use K3B under Fedora 4 to back up data to CD-R. The application has a simple interface and works reliably. I am sure I don't use 90% of the features. However, I can't find a facility to back up files so they span multiple CD-R volumes if the data size exceeds the capacity of the receiving media.

I am looking for rpm packages - I never have success with make.

This can't be difficult since zip used to be able to span backups across multiple 1.44MB floppies back in MS-DOS days.

DS: I know, I know, I should look at DVD burners on Ebuyer but I like to make things difficult for myself.

Ta,

Clive
