They should be able to sort it out or tell you you need a new sim (I doubt it though, these things are fairly indestructible.) Might want to try to clean the contacts on the sim just in case... Good luck!

i am having a similar problem on O2, only mine has to do with media messages. O2 are the biggest pile of pants, if my contract wasnt so good i would have left them, so for now i need to put up with horrendous customer service.![]()

That'll also be why it says you don't have a signal. Your phone can't get a signal because no-one is prepared to talk to it. Hope the new sim comes through from o2 soon. ![]()

I'm assuming that basic voice, voice-mail and SMS services are all accessible from your phone handset. You might be able to download the MMS settings to your phone from the O2 Web site. Have you tried .... www.o2.co.uk Select "O2 Active" in the grey menu bar towards the top (it seems to me that O2 Active incorporates the phone settings for GPRS and MMS) Select "Get Settings" in the Left Hand menu under "Products and Services" Select "O2 Active" from the centre pane on the screen Input the relevant details of your phone type and phone number. What should happen is you should get one or more SMS texts that download the settigns to the phone. Sometimes you have "accept" the settings sometimes the setup is automatic. You can normally (always?) set these parameters manually - but there can be lots of them - and the potential for entering a WAP gateway name (or whatever) incorrectly by one letter will stop the whole set of data services working. But, oh bloody no! Because they have sent one out in the post, they have cancelled my current sim. I cant even make emergency calls. I am so cross. I have to make a 200 mile journey in a bit to the Peak District where the snow is bad and will not be able to contact the others if i run into problems. I have been with 02 for years now and they do this to me. They said i will get a new sim by the end of the week. Rant over! will try and enjoy the rest of my day! ![]() |
