Windows XP

A question for all you clever I.T people. (I can turn it on and use the Forum what more do i want)
I've got a shiney new computer with Windows XP. Does this mean that all my very old software (kids games etc) won't work on my new computer? I don't want to try in case i bu66er it up. Most of the software says minimum system requirements 95/98.

onkar will become famous soon enough
Re: Windows XP

It depends.

Most software written for Windows 95/98 should work on Windows XP.

However, depending on how (well or badly) it was written it may/may not install or work properly as quite a few things under the hood have changed under XP.

So cannot really offer any help, other than suggestion that you check the titles on Google and see what experience other people may have posted.
