Scientific Calculator Help

Des anyone have kids that are doing their GCSE's or A Levels and can tell me button by button how to use the "n" power button on a scientific calculator?

I've lost my instructions and not used the blasted thing for anything more complicated than working out how much money I don't have since I was at school

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Re: Scientific Calculator Help

Don't have my calculator to hand.. but if I remember correctly:
Mine had a button labelled with an "X" then a superscripted "y"

If I wanted to know "2 to the power of 3" I'd push "2" "(xy button)" "3"
If the answer's 8 then I've remembered it right!
