Broadband

Who should I go to for broadband service with no contract.

iheard Virgin did one for £14.99 per month and I got the publicity material. I telephoned the number given buyt could not get through!!!!!

I could not contact them through email either.

Amazing, these guys spend millions on marketing and they can't get these things right!

It's like they can't be bothered to try to use their own service!

Re: Broadband

Check the small print with Virgin!

If you leave before 12 months you have to pay a charge, £50-60 I think, almost went with them but noticed this in time, as I can't see myself being at the same address in a years time.

To be fair it's to cover the cost of activating your telephone line for broadband, which just about everyone charges, it's just the way it's hidden in the small print and claim no monthly contract that bothers me

As long as you don't mind an 18 month contract.

There are the likes of plusnet and nildram which used to do things on a month to month basis, rather than a 12 or 18 month contract. Depends what your looking for, I need a more month to month sort of thing as I don't think I'll be at the same address this time next year.

Haven't looked around for a while but a handy site for comparision and user ratings is www.adslguide.org.uk

Re: Broadband

So what do you use?

I would prefer something on a monthly basis as well

Re: Broadband

Nothing at the moment waiting until I get a new laptop next month.

I've done a bit of hunting for broadband for family and friends, depending on their needs. Have recommended Plus.net to two family members but they do seem to have had a couple of spectacular email problems lately. Also recommended nildram for one business.

So going to start looking very soon. What sort of thing are you after? Speed, usage, free stuff?
