Mentally scarred - that was before I saw THE picture.

Scared? I doubt I'll be scared of much after that dance!

It's all right. You can be hard on me if you want (if the Tramp's a beginner, I've never danced a step in my life!)

So when do I next have the pleasure of being Scathed then?

Janet

Ill be at Edinburgh party this Saturday - you there ?

And I meant TheTramp was a beginner (as he so freely admits ) not you - that could be seen as offensive - you're too nice to me .

Bill will become famous soon enough
eh..................what was thread about again ??????

oh yeh cool moves !There are moves I like but I don't honestly think any are actually 'cool'. Some are fun and some can be quite sexy but I couldn't say any I do are cool. But the man Gilbert.... every move he does oozes 'cool'..................... great dancing and looks just so relaxed and at ease.

Maybe not cool ( well the effect doesn't make me feel cool ) but one move I love is the V&L bum wiggle one. Lot of folk do it now but when done 'properly' is very 'cool' - well very hot actually but you know what Imean

New Coolest Move!

Neck Break Spin Drop
---------------------------
Neck break entry, but instead of M stepping back after stepping in, M steps R forward L wide stance, L arm out for style. M steps back R&L, as M R hand goes behind F head, pulling her head into M R shoulder with M arm wrapped around behind her head (close move! Guys, deodorant check? )

M drops F with twisting motion from R to L, (NO knee brakes!!! :/) supporting points: behind her head and hip-to-hip. On raising F, F takes M R hand for spin exit using MR-FR handhold... two, three spins minimum from the wrap.

Re: New Coolest Move!

Coolest move...

First move pull through directly into side-to-side charleston: starts first move, guy makes half a turn CW during beats 5&6 and steps forward left, away from lady. Then lead lady fowards and spin her CW for 1.5 turns, as for Phil's move. While lady is spinning, man takes two steps forward to "surprise" her by appearing on her left hand size. This is the same position as beat three of first move. From there, side-to-side Charleston until recovered, add verbal thanks and chitchat to taste.

For me, it's chief weapon is surprise....

Difficult to answer because so much of what makes a love a favourite or appear cool lies in the reactions of your partner - what she does with it, how she dances, and how it fits the music (so hence the timing). So it's never quite the same each time.
Current favourite - Parisian basket
Current coolest - She goes, he goes.

Ah, we're talking cool.

Well, my coolest move is not moving. Just standing there, looking cool, maybe rippling slightly or moving a shoulder/hip/top lip/eyebrow.

The trick is to fit it to the music and that's what makes it look really cool
