Just received this - anyone interested ? RobC, ChrisA, David & Lily

Dancers required for new BBC series/musical

We are currently looking for ballroom dancers (men or ladies) of all shapes, sizes and ages for a new BBC series called "Blackpool". You need to be of a good standard and able to supply your own costumes (think dance competition). The filming will take place in London and you will need to be available on the following dates: 12th, 14th, 15th and 16th of July 2004. If you wish to be considered, please email Linda@ceroc.com as soon as possible

Can't make weekdays

Why can't they do these things at the weekend ? The only people they'll get turning up is the unemployed and retired.....

If they want to promote Ballroom Dancing to the younger generation, then their filming schedule needs to accomodate the young professional that has to work all week !

Thankyou for the post MinnieM we had loads of responses (and surprisingly none from unemployed layabouts or those too old to work! ) so we have filled our ballroom slots now. We are also looking for another Lindy couple (same programme)as one of our couples has just dropped out.

The problem with TV work is that they think everyone should work round them so they don't consider the fact that people have jobs unfortunately. Sorry

But to let you all know about my new company www.danceextras.com it's an extras agency specialising in providing dancers for the entertainment/ film / tv industry. We have just finished a pop prom also, so anyone interested sign up. It's free to register for all Ceroc members. We are now looking for people to do a ITV commercial - will let you have more details soon.

Mmmmm, not really had much call for cross- dressers, though will let you know when we do straight away.

Though here are the details of our next job (not dancers this time but for a tv advert)

Casting Thu in NW1. If anyone keen then email me your details. Linda@ceroc.com

Husband A. Very Straight Normal (NOT BORING) man. 33-40. Should look like a typical middle England man, maybe a dentist or a bank manager – not unattractive, not geeky.

Husband B. Also 33-40. Similar to above but geekier, quirkier. Maybe a bit short and definitely vulnerable. Even a bit nervous BUT STILL VERY REGULAR LOOKING

Wife –

Wife A. 24-30. Absolute Knockout!!! Total, sexy model type. Tall-5’7” +, long legs, long hair classically beautiful face. Your typical advertising Beautiful young woman. Would prefer darker hair.

Cough & Hoarse

These ARE MEN (age 32-50 years old) should be a bit like a double act. Cough should be a bit on the chubby side, (kind of like Oliver Hardy). Hoarse should be very thin (a bit like Stan Laurel). There is no dialogue but each character will need to either Cough or whisper Hoarsely.
