Some useful advice from the Driver's Manual DVD on one of the techniques about spinning your follower and stopping her for a brake. The DVD carries alot of techniques like this that can make a huge difference to your dancing...

Teacher from OZ did two classes of rueda in mj style at southport in june, it was great fun, complicated to learn at first, but on sunday morning we got it and the routine should be on the southport video when it's ready.

Jordan and Sarah Crossover JnJ

I really enjoyed this one - I love it when the crowd get really hyped by something the dancers do - you see it from the Pro Row on some other videos with them all clapping, stamping feet, etc

Can anyone ID the tune on this (distorted though it is on the recording)?

It was really cool. That was from this years' Boston Tea Party. The Lindy guys would come into the main ballroom and dance with the WCS mob and visa versa. One of my best dances of that weekend was with a Lindy dancer...

For anyone who knows basic footwork watch Brent and count along as he steps and taps and see all the syncopations he is doing knowing what the basic pattern should look like. It has been said that he has the quickest feet in Swing. I like the footwork that Kallese is doing as well when she dances with her husband and you can see how they use their footwork for the lyrics plus the music...
