The whole thing is a little bit eccentric. I haven't really got an opinion on the rock n roll - except that it's interesting to see him do it. Someone who went to see his show (tango por dos) at Sadlers' Wells told she thought the whole company was a bit tired and had been on tour for too long without a break, and that was only a few weeks ago, so perhaps that's it.

As for the bounce - well, it's not for want of investment.

This is him in a more characteristic performance with a different partner. The comments are a hoot if you read Spanish.

That was beautiful - and she is a dream to watch. I love her arm and head lines - so balletic & classy.
It's a shame he's a little shorter than she is - I found it a tad distracting with some of their lines.
She looks great dancing WCS with high heels - I notice she likes to wear them rather than the flat ones. Makes it all look a lot classier IMHO

Can any of the Aussies give more details, like which competition, when, who won, any forumites on it, etc.

Also what level is it - it says 'advanced' but does that mean there is 'Open' and 'Masters' above it?

I believe that video is from the Ceroc Australia competition around October 2007. It it advance. There is another level above that called 'Masters' to qualify for which you must have won (or perhaps placed for the CA rules) advanced.

Kevin Town (recently moved back to England) and Ali Rowe won.

I like the way she straightens up to her full height for most of her dancing - lots of the other female dancers don't seem to as much ... but dislike her sandles - they somehow seem distracting - light against her dark trousers. Also would be interested to see how she would look if her feet were more connected with the floor (although perhaps I've just spent too much time with tango now ... )
