Has Ceroc capitalized on the SCD phenomena?

A couple of years back we all got excited about the explosion of dance on TV. Hordes of programmes seemed to appear promoting dance as the ‘in thing’ to do. At last, we rejoiced, our time has come. They will come, they will see the beauty that is Ceroc and they WILL believe. The franchisees started looking at what colours they would have on their on new Porche which they would be able to buy with all the new dancers and …………..

Has anything changes? Clubs don’t seem any busier to me now. Has the rate of expansion increased? Sure, there always new clubs opening, but you don’t hear quite so much about the clubs that fold. 2 years of SCD later … has Ceroc managed to turn the increase in dance popularity into greater numbers of Cerocers?

This post is too hard to answer with meaningless drivel

I think the dancing on TV kicked the ‘inertia’ and put a few people got of their seatees and went out and found whats going on then went back and caught up with East Enders

Is there more learnt social dancing now then the 1940s ? I doubt it

It was SCD that finally got me off my sofa and onto a dance floor. I'm sure there are many others who also did the same. It seems to come back to retention. It's one thing to get prospective dancers through the door but it's an entirely different thing to keep them there.

Solid retention is always good in my books!

But if you have a decent hall area you don't really need a Porche do you?
