Jango - Hammersmith Mon 27th June - It was Good!

Hiya all,

Wow.... wow.... wow.....
Up close, Will and Kate looked awesome when they demo'ed the routine last night.....

The moves.... Hope I got the moves and spelling on this right....

A 1st move into a secardo (?)
exit, traveling move into a promenard.... going no hands for the ladies....
... um... twisty change places into a dramatic lady stop....
Or something like that!

The place itself was a really nice venue. Great floor, a pretty funky hall... with a back drop like that, tea parties there must be good
.... music was brilliant.... a bit of a ecclectic mix... I liked it!

Not busy all all that night... so a we had acres of space to travel in the free style etc. Fantastic for a London class to have all of this, and not be packed out to the point where you can't dance "properly"!

A great night!

Martin

PS:
Elaine - Mary says hello!

She is a really really good dancer.... I just totally clicked with her from the word go!

Simon and I love the Sunday 'Tea dance', but unfortunately, things have been a bit hectic lately, so we haven't been for a few months!

Mary is an absolutely fabulous dancer and if you can get to the competition in Weston Super Mare in July Marty, I think you may see her again - possibly air bound this time, I think?

Hi Martin!

Hah - so you've discovered the gem that is Jango .

Sorry we didn't make it there last night, despite your early text warning . Too knackered and our feet were killing us after 6 hours dancing the previous day at the fabulous T-Jive .

Glad to hear you enjoyed it - make sure you pay us all another visit soon .

Lily

Hiya Lily,

...too tired?!... I had to read that twice to check I read it right!

I still remember last year, when I danced with you for the 1st time at the BAWA in bristol... I didn't realize who you and David were... I was doing all my usual false leads and messing around etc...and I then asked for your number about Hipsters on tuesdays.... Gods... how bolshy am I! You guys are lovely and make the dance scene is a much better place to be!

...oh and that doughnut you did at the BAWA some time later.... wow!

Are you going to Ealing this coming Friday? I hope you are! Last time I saw you there, I think it was your birthday.... and the guys were queuing up around the corner to dance with you...

Best wishes
Martin

PS:
Yup, next time I'm in London for the week - it'll be the 8th August Monday Jango class- ages away! Dunno about the Tea parties tho... will check another time

Martin, really good to meet you on Monday - can't believe you haven't been before. Thank goodness you asked me to dance - having had the glass (or 2) of wine I didn't dare ask anyone other than Tony to dance - I can lurch around with Tone but didn't want to be an embarrassment to anyone else!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the dances - make sure we catch up on some more next time. (and thank you for your kind comments )
