Mi casa, su casa
The basic ground rules for discussions on the Ceroc Scotland Forum are simple: be polite, use common sense, don't break the law.
Your behaviour here, and ours, can be summed up in 4 words: “Mi casa, su casa” (my house is your house). The Ceroc Scotland Forum is a place where it's OK to be yourself as long as you always act with respect for your fellow members as well as the moderating team. Our goal will be to treat our members as we would wish to be treated.
You are not expected to leave your personality at the door. There are going to be topics and discussions that will have heated debates. Please think before you post and re-read what you type before you post it. Keep your comments limited to the debate at hand and do not make this a personal issue between you and another member.
The administrators and moderators of the Ceroc Scotland Forum are working to provide a place where members can share ideas and debate in an atmosphere of mutual respect to create a community of dancers.
Despite our best efforts, some of our members often stray from this ideal and cheapen the quality of discourse for everyone else. Unfortunately, it is simply impossible to write a comprehensive set of rules forbidding every type of antisocial behavior. The fact that the rules don't forbid a certain type of post does not automatically make an uncivil post appropriate, nor does it imply that the administrators approve of disrespectful behavior. Every member of this community has a responsibility to participate in a respectful manner, and to help foster an atmosphere of thoughtful discussion. In this regard, we strongly advise that our members exercise a little common decency, rather than trying to parse the forum rules to figure out what type of antisocial behavior is not forbidden. We don't intend to censor messages based on the opinions expressed within posts, but we will enforce the policies outlined both here and on the Forum.
There are several moderators on the Ceroc Scotland Forum. Posts that do not belong will be removed as quickly as possible. In some cases a member's post may be edited. Generally, moderators will discuss the matter and try to come up with a solution that is appropriate to the situation. Usually, the member will be notified when this occurs. The moderators will strive to be as thoughtful and courteous as possible.
The Ceroc Scotland Forum reserve the right to remove text from posts, lock topics or delete messages without explanation. In some instances, the member may receive a private message explaining the Moderator's position.
Issues concerning moderation will NOT be discussed in the open forum.
The opinions expressed on the Ceroc Scotland Forum are those of the contributors and do not indicate any "official" opinion of the owners of Ceroc Scotland, affiliates or partners.
