Last time we had and Ashtons/Hipsters clash I voted early, and at the last Hipsters Cheshunt I voted late. Anyway this time I voted immediately, if you click on the voting numbers you can see that.
What's with the 200 views and only 13 votes ? (maybe it's the Champs factor, or is everyone waiting for Adam to post? )
I hope that fence is strong.

Sorry Guys,
Still going to be not able to dance so definately the 'other' option. No idea yet what.
I can only tempt/torture myself by turning up to nights when i know there's going to be lots of people to chat to.
Good luck to all those competing - let us know who comes where please.

Okay, so who can let me have instructions on how to get to Cheshunt. It is about time I started to travel to improve my dancing :D
M6, M74, M8 (or A74), follow the ring road round to the east of Edinburgh until you see signs for Musselburgh, follow signs until you find a 'welcome to Musselburgh' sign. There you will find Cheshunt (temporarily renamed Musselburgh). There ye shall find the finest dancers in the land on the 2nd. :)Quote:

And finally, the music... this is a subjective (and indeed controversial area), so I'm probably taking my life in my own hands by expressing an opinion here. However:
At Hipsters (DJ Jon Brett), there's a great variety of music played, pretty much to fit all tastes. There's possibly more of a Lindy tradition amongst the clientele than other influences, which is reflected in the music chosen. Whilst there are always some good tracks there, it's not always personally to my taste.
At Cheshunt (DJ Robin), there seems to be more of a "smooth tunes" feel to it for me; there's a higher proportion of Latin and Blues music there, with more slow transitions between different music styles.
But again, music is always very very very subjective - my advice is try both and make up your own mind...
