Re: Lux - the Utopia luxury weekend
After chatting to Bill and Bex about this event I'm really excited about it and I think it's going to be a blast - certainly more my cup of darjeeling anyway. :worthy::clap::clap::clap:

Rockbottoms is only hotel accomodation....

Faily good ... Rugby is close to the centre of the triangle made by Coventry, Northampton and Leicester.. and close to Stratford Upon Avon where my little bro lives.:lol:

This is then obviously reflected in the respective pricing.
The one Warner break I've been on was entirely in the hotel, but there's no need to get into a discussion about it because I don't want to derail your thread. :flower:

And great weekends they are too - but the accommodation and the food isn't 4 star, and again that is obviously reflected in the pricing.

Does anyone else get this image everytime I see this thread?

"Lux" ain't a bad name though; hell, it could have been "Squash" or summat...

Having eating in the 'canteen' of a rock bottom weekend and 'begging for a egg', in the morning , I probably think Rocky may be right

level of accomodation is a different kettle of fish... I was responding to your comment that Lux would be the only weekender where all the accomodation was in the hotel....

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, and being one of the last down for breakfast both mornings had no problem getting a full breakfast

Yup you're not the only one:rofl:
Unless you're going for a bit of subliminal marketing Rocky by saying how clean and fresh it'll all be as well as luxurious:wink: but I can't see Ariel, Bold 2in1 or Persil working quite the same as weekender titles.

Re: Lux - the Utopia luxury weekend
Well, LUX makes me think of fluorescent strip lighting which probably isn't the image Rocky & co have in mind

Ah.... we would have, if you'd called it Luxx (with the extra X) But, sorry mate, you've gone and named it after the soap.

:tears: You're right Lou - the Times supplement is Luxx, but the luxury features column in the weekend FT supplement 'How to Spend it' is called LUX. Clearly mixed-me-toasties...
Mind you we could ride the vibe and give away free bars of soap as a welcome gift....
Just be glad we didn't call it LUSH, FLUSH, or SWANK - Goodness you would have had a field day with any of those!

That reminds me, what happened to "S'FUNK"?
Now that was a really silly name. Boy, those were the days...
