What part of "haven't had time to try it yet" did you not get? - give the poor guy a chance (and me the credit for giving him my free trial code ).

Although sometimes, there's a fine line between 'credit' and 'blame'

Some of us have to work for a living... or at least show up at work and look vaguely like you're doing something (no WoW on work 'puters, more's the pity).

Blame, credit, I'll take either gladly

    Re: World of Warcraft

Hmmm. Well - tried it tonight - not particularly impressed.

After my machine spent the last couple of days downloading the trial version, i installed it. It then downloaded a 223Mb update (odd that that wasn't included with the trial dowload) - I then set up all the correct firewall stuff, fired it up, and entered username / password. It gets to 'Handshaking', sits there for five minutes, then disconnects.

I'm not sure I see the addiction yet
    Probably for the best tho.

    That sounds about right.

I've tried playing recently, but not having much time to be on the PC at the mo. More's the pity! And when I do get on, I invariably end up getting disconnected due to my wireless connection cutting out...a sign, perhaps?

Each of those also shows who else is in the guild but there is also a link straight to The Licious which links to all the characters in the guild.

is this page quite a bit behind the server ? i did notice i do not show up as a member (ooh FAQ on page says 24 hours)

its a major coup them getting me to join of course, there was much singing and dancing when i accepted i can tell you over the moon they were, I recall words such as "our prayers are answered" "wow DS is joining" "now the Alliance scum will tremble in their fashionable booties"... in fact Sparkles just cried...with happiness I might add

For one it marks an end to it being some form of racist Blood Elf guild... opening its doors to other races of the horde.

I can imagine that moment now though, it's a shame you didn't record it for posterity's sake.

In fact, there are another 3 members who aren't visible on here because they're only lvl 1 - and they're all Tauren. So we're quite multi-cultural really.

Oh, and ESG has Alchemy and Herbalism (so unlike him, but never mind!) as his tradeskills. We could do with an enchanter, but maybe it's best we don't have one since they eat money like cows eat grass.

erm.. I'm one step behind Stray.. I've not even bought the software yet. Let alone install it and get a character rolled up. Although that said, I will probably be an Orc warrior of some persuasion.

As for skills? what about : Buttkicking & Pwning ?

They eat money because they get their reagents (ingredients) from disenchanting enchanted items - these are the green, blue and purple drops that everyone else makes lots of money from selling. So, in order to fund an enchanter, you either have to have big raids on dungeons and give them all the nice loot (which is really depressing) or buy them stuff from the AH (which is very expensive). The other alternative, of course, is to have them disenchant everything that the other crafters in the guild make, but then the other crafters don't make any money either.

I know I know.. but I look at WoW and then I look at EvE and I think to myself "But I've got a lovely Level II Mining barge and a fully augmented Battleship for low sector work, and I make and sell my own ships and.. ..." but then I look at WoW and think.. "Cool I get to gut people.."

I WILL get the software and I WILL install it (HMV had the 15 day trial for £1.50 but it said you needed to buy the full version afterwards and your character would be deleted at the end of the 15 day trial)

And do I need the other disk as well? the one that gives you the other characters to play? I will be online soon.. but perhaps not JUST yet

Honestly, some people just don't know what's good for them!

You don't need it if you're going to play an Orc - you only need it to play a Blood Elf or Draenei, or to get past lvl 70. So that can wait til you are fully addicted :mwua-ha-ha:
