Does that make you turn around your char so you can see it from the front? Or does that just capture what you see on the screen?

Honestly Beo, I'd expect better of your picture - the lighting's awful, and couldn't you get him to make a nice expression? Nice musckles though

The left mouse button controls your camera, so if you click and drag it, it will change your camera angle so you can see your char in profile or from the front - as soon as you let go it defaults back to behind you though, so you need to take the screen shot while holding the camera in place.

I haven't put one of me up, cos everytime I try to make Toireasa stand still for a picture, she poses for a second and then starts yawning just as I get to being ready to press the right button

Unfortunately I lack the iconography proficiency skills to make the [ELEMENTAL FLASH BULB] to illuminate the scene.. I need to collect 4 octarine Salamander gizzards for the recipe which , apparently, can only be obtained from the Mobile Twoflower.. who I've yet to find.

Is that like by being in drag, they're more likely to turn so that they can get a good laugh at you??

    Re: World of Warcraft

I was doing a little programming last night and am making a "little" progress.

I've been fiddling around with an add-on that will allow me to export the Recipes/patterns etc my characters can produce and export that to a MySQL database for browsing over the web. The idea being that other members of the guild and/or other non-guild players can see what I produce, what materials they require and can contact me in game to either supply me with the materials to make them or send me the G.S & C to buy the materials and make the items.

I'm currently using an Add on called trade Export. but I'm not 100% satisfied with the output so am looking at the add on development kit with a view to writing one of my own.

And I'm now an Artisan Skinner, and have maxed out my current level of Leatherworking (150) and need to find someone to teach me Expert leatherworking.

    I'm impressed!

You need to go to Thunder Bluff to learn Expert Leatherworking. As I said to Trampy the other day - turn west at Camp Taurajo and follow the signs to the big city. For the trainer, ask a guard when you get there.

If you're planning on keeping the LW going til the top, I might not bother (I'm not patient enough for all the farming). In which case I'll be auctioning all my leather, but guildies get first dibbs obviously.

AH! I've been there already.. I was bored one evening and tried to see how many flight paths I could open up.

I can fly down there tonight from Camp Tijuana .. Tia-maria.. Tora tora tora! .. or whatever it's called (I can never remember )

I need to find new skinning grounds anyway. the beasts in the Barrens are mostly grey to me now (for skinning at least)

Cool beans. Nekiar needs some nice new armor! And I need to work on the jewelcrafting

And I made it to Thunder Bluff after a nice run from Ghostlands. Got the mace skill, worked mace up to max skill. And 2 minutes later, got a better 2H sword again!

I was actually thinking of freewind post.. but I have an opened flight path to thunderbluff as well

I get vertigo when I wander around freewind post.. and when running around it's best to tread carefully.. first time I landed I ran over the "brow of a hill" to find the ground below my feet suddenly an awfully long way down

Tess, you said we needed a farmer in the guild, I'm assuming for mining and herb-collecting, but am I assuming correctly?

    Re: World of Warcraft

OK, time for a guild update - I'd like to start a new Character, but want to know where the gaps are in terms of professions before I do...

    TessaLicious: Toireasa : blood elf : rogue : 43 : skinning : leatherworking
    Tessalicious: Haeli : Orc : Shaman : 1 : bank char
    ESG: : hunter : 52
    Dreadful Scathe: Shirley : Orc : Warrior : 17 : mining : blacksmithing
    MostlySane: Thrull : blood elf : warlock : 17 : mining : jewelcrafting
    Sparkles: Sparklette : blood elf : priest : 21 : skinning : tailoring
Andystyle: Shem: Blood Elf: Mage : 5
Tramp: Nekiar: Blood Elf: Rogue : 25 : mining : jewelcrafting
Tramp: Sparkling: Blood Elf: Paladin : 21 : mining : engineering
    Beowulf: Náshnarak : Orc : Warrior: 22: Skinning : n/a
    Beowulf: Tassi : Tauren : Shaman : 7

Beo and Tess, please can you update your professions if you know them .
Also, I have not been able to update "Shem" because he's not yet part of the guild

    No Problem..

I know Tassi doesn't gather anything.. but She's been chatting to some of the newer players in her area and has been setting up private deals with them for flowers, herbs etc, and she also disenchants any magical "junk" that Náshnarak sends her

Násh is Artisan Skinning and expert leatherworking now. He's currently getting his butt kicked up in Ashvale in Nightsong woods. He wasn't getting any more skinning skill increases where he was.. but now he's being routinely gored to death by stags and wolves

You don't really need to post all that Sparkles - this one link will do - and people can look through at their leisure.

I did get a couple of odd whispers from random players.. usually along the lines of "PUT YOUR CLOTHES ON!!"

I had my loincloth to spare my blushes.. (question? if you're green do you still blush??)

    .snip char info...
Haeli: Orc: Shaman: 7: Bank, Future twink, Herbalism, Mining
    ESG: Hunter: 53: Herbalism, Alchemy

So basically, we're mostly covered in terms of professions somewhere along the way - so it's up to you to pick one you fancy.

BTW, in terms of classes, another damage spellcaster would always be useful (mage, warlock) and I'd guess that you might enjoy the mage class.

    HTH xx

You might like these links then

    Twink Armour

    Twink Weapons

Not quite a Twink weapon .. this is my one [KILLMAIM]
    although it reeks of Twinkyness.

I certainly didn't get it from a quest !! Yup I bought it on the AH with all my money from the Leather business (although I didn't pay 20g for it!! was more like 12G ) was averaging about 1.5 to 2g per hour .. until the bottom fell out of the market.

20 Light leather was going for 50 silver a pop, now it's more like 20 silver (at least last time I looked) 20 heavy leather is about the 1g 15s mark (again, last time I looked)

Maybe we don't need the list, but I find it easier to look at "at-a-glance" than waiting forever for the armoury to load up on my computer, so I've updated it and put it in anyway.

Mage or Warlock were definitely on my radar as new chars - if you wanted a farmer I was going to go for a Mage, but if you want spells and dark magic damage in combat then I think a Warlock might be better

PS. can someone explain the whole 'Twink' thing to me again, please - I can't remember the deal with that and I don't really want to go back through this whole thread to find out. Thanks
