OMG !! even I can't tolerate too much wasabi. Even though I loved making my own sushi (which I've not done in a while.. ) The Japanese nickname for Wasabi is namida .. "TEARS" and it's well deserved!
and it's not hot as such, but the acrid vapors irritate the nasal linings.
Poor man.. i feel for you !

I once ended up with a girl's finger in my mouth during freestyle.
I have had my foot surgically removed on more than one occasion.

If you like sponges so much here's a tip for you.
6 Oz S.R. Flour
6 Oz Caster Sugar
6 Oz Marge
3 Eggs.
(a little vanilla if you have some/ feel like it)
30 mins in a moderate oven. Bingo! one sponge
enjoy !!
(what ever happened to the baking thread?)
It must be mild stuff in Vegas. I love sushi, but wasabi is, I've always imagined, scrapings from some old reactor core near Tokyo...
I'm surprised, given the number of Nor'n Irelanders on this forum, that dulse hasn't been mentioned. Particularly the fact that you buy paper bags of the stuff at the fairs. That just strikes me as weird. Though the yellowman is fantastic, better than ordinary puff candy.
I had 'chicklins' for lunch yesterday
also drank Rankin Rodger's **SS by acident (form 'the beat')
When I was a baby I grabbed an empty chocolate wrapper, and swallowed it whole! Then I swallowed a penny not long after that! (Guess it's the only thing I can think of that came out looking the same! ) Haven't changed that much - I'm on a sea food diet now, I see food, I eat!
