I am considering laying a sport floor in my garden, primarily for basketball.
The more common options ( on a hard underbase ) are plastic or rubber tiles, designed for the purpose.

I have discovered that I can get reclaimed teak flooring at approximately the same price.

So I am considering a teak floor, keeping the teak well oiled with teak oil, there will be no roof.

Why teak - resilient to weathering, looks better than plastic tiles if kids outgrow sports, and possibility of using it as a dance floor.

Am concerned that it might get very slippy in damp and wet weather and we get a lot of that in Scotland !

Anyone got any experience of, advice for outdoor dancefloors?

Thanks,
John
