I had in my diary that there was a Jive Addiction "Velvet Lounge" event in Derby on the Saturday, but this seems to have disappeared from uk-jive and isn't on the Jive Addiction website. I'm assuming it's been moved to another date?
Love dance, will travel

I think I might go to Red Hot & Blue if I can get a lift home.

This may surprise a few of you but it's Halesowen for me on Friday. All that way to attend a Ceroc Midlands night and taking friends with me! There must a be a very good reason.
Yep there is.
That reason would be the DJ. I have heard that Paul Foster is doing his very first freestyle blues set. I heard some of Paul's sets at Breeze and they were brilliant. Definitely worth coming along to experience this up and coming DJ. It is also a late night so there's dancing until 12.30. Of course you also get the gorgeous Maja thrown in so in all it WILL be a good night.
On the Saturday I'm off to Utopia in Derby. As I have mentioned before my only reason for this choice is Marc Foster.
If Jive Addiction has changed their date then that is brilliant news. I can then attend both events.
In London I believe there is:
Chiswick - Saturday
HMS President - Sunday
Think I'll wait for the weather forecast before making up my mind... love the boat, but if it's stormy in January...
Fri 18th - Ceroc NW @ Hyde
Sat 19th - Blitz @ Chester
ASHTONS Friday 18th January - according to website.
Friday 18th, 8 till midnight, Smooth Lounge at Rochester. (Dance Riviera)
And Saturday 19th 8pm to 1am at Hove Town Hall, (after Nigel & Nina's workshops) there's the "Panto Ball" with the Jive Aces doing a set, and AT cabaret. (Though I don't think it's the Jive Aces doing that bit!)

Am so annoyed... Wanted to go to Utopia next weekend and thought it was the Friday but it is on the Saturday and I am on a friend's birthday do that night...Most annoyed..... Must learn to plan better in the future.....

Dunno where else to go, might have a quiet weekend in.
It is a pain isn’t it ?. I had my sisters wedding one weekend last year and looks like Im attending my sisters babies Christening in mid March
She phoned ages ahead and said im booking you in before it clashes with any of ‘your’ weekenders . We then chatted for an hour about it not being ‘my weekender’ and about a minute about the new born baby
Might attend the boat
Funny often more people when it rains
I assume it will be the 57th one in a row where its the 'last one' etc
Sat - Jive Nites Anniversary Ball - Buckden, Cambs
Rachel and I are heading south from Yorkshire
Ashtons Fri night and Chiswick Sat night
