I much prefer events that are run like this. I absolutely hate overcrowded events. It's a complete waste of time, money and effort if you haven't got any room to actually dance. I have to travel a long way every weekend to attend events and I am much happier knowing that both the gender and the numbers have been balanced.
Chef can't wait to dance with you again tomorrow. And Barry????? I was looking forward to meeting you.
Hillgrounds Road Kempston on the edge of the park very close to the junction with Bedford road which is controlled by traffic lights. Dont use the western junction with Bedford Road as that is a long way round. Use the junction to the east (Bedford side). Venue is easy to spot and has a good size car park.
Hope to see you there.
Might be a mistake. Not aware of any other MJ event in Bedford tonight. Anyone more local know for sure?
Think it may be.
What time is kick off at Addison Centre tonight?
And does it get really crowded as it is not a big place as I remember?

You and Val do the thing that really 'does it' for me, make me feel special and wanted as your guest
oooo and I love my name on the flyers.
The whole day at swinging the blues was pretty good, despite a 15 min. wait to get in and the first class starting late to allow everyone in. The last time I went, I'd only been dancing for 6 months, so I was quite concerned that it might not be as good as I remembered it. Lucky's blango class was the only one which stood out - Watching his demo I thought it was extremely ambitious, but it seemed to work quite well. Have to say that the standard of teaching which seems to be the norm abroad seems more in line with our very best teachers.
Nigel's lesson on the history of dance was clearly the reason for the day being organised, he only managed to cover 1900-1950 in the first hour. I liked the idea of showing people the styles of dance which have evolved over time without just relying on old film clips.
The music in the evening seemed to work very well, and despite only half of the floor in the main room being usable (why wasn't it fixed???) there was a decent amount of space.
Marc played to what would normally pass for a blues room in the main room - everyone seemed to be playing with the music, and this seemed to complement the classes during the day very well.
The real blues room was less of a contrast this time round, in terms of the dancing (had some amazing dances in both), but the atmosphere was still there. The contrast between the rooms was more 'dance blues to pure blues music' and 'dance blues to any old interesting music', than blues and ceroc. I don't think I saw anyone dancing ceroc all night
