I'v stuck my bit on the who's going where tread
Trouble and I went to the above ball last night 19th January 2008.
And in the words of the Bee-Gee OH What A Night, late December back in 63, what a very special night for me, Oh What A Night.
Ok it was 19th Jan 2008 but bear with me on the artistic interpretation.
Music ...CJ as usual inspirational, this man knows his music truly marvelous. This was a 6 shirt night.
Upon arrival we were greeted like good friends, which we are with nearly everyone there, a glass of Champers and into the dancing. A professional photographer and loads of nibbles, and sensible bar prices, what more can you ask?
The lesson and later demo by Peter Fradley and Amy Muncaster was amazing, they then both danced all night with us mere mortals inspiring all as they danced.
Dancers... As usual at Sarahs classes and freestyles the standard is way way above most other venues. The thing about Sarahs is that musicality and dance interpretation is taught from day 1 lesson 1. There are no move masters at these venues just dancing to the music by everyone.
Trouble was magnificent, (as was I ), everyone made the effort and looked superb.
It is a real and genuine pleasure to attend these venues and everyone is made to feel part of the family. As evident by the number of forumites in attendance,
Roll on Southport where this crowd will stand apart in terms of musicality and interpretation.
Well done Sarah on providing a dance venue which consistently raises the benchmark in the dance world.
If this night can be described in a short phrase it would be...I was as excited as a puppy at The best looking Vicars leg competition.

Not enough time to dance with everyone there
Great music in the 2nd half after CJ gave everyone a chance to warm up
Not too crowded as well, which was a relief after utopia!
ahem ... "Jivenites"
Congratulations Sarah on your 2nd Anniversary
if you love the life you live then you'll get a lot more done
ahem ... "Sara White's"
OK ok ok I might have got the song wrong, and I may have got the name slightly wrong.
The point is, it was a BLINDING NIGHT.
As are all of Sarah's do's.

I've just seen this thread, sometimes I'm a little slow...
It was a great night. Well done Sara on an Amazing event and thanks so much for inviting us. Amy and I had a great time.
Well done CJ with the music and great set as usual.
Thanks to everybody, you were all so lovely to us and thanks to all the ladies who gave me so many great dances throughout the evening.
It's a shame that good nights like that must come to an end, but it gives us a reason to look forward to next time .

As one of Sara's team I might be accused of being biased but the Jivenites 2nd Anniversary bash was a brilliant night, with the dance floor filled from 7:30 all the way to midnight with a bunch of people having a superb time really expressing themselves to the music - like normal .
CJ's music selection was, as usual a mix of the well-known, the challenging and the downright surprising. Is he the only DJ in the country brave enought to play AC/DC's Night Prowler in the middle of the night? He carried right through to the bitter end with Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd in all of its 9 minute plus glory - and the fact that the floor was full of dancers hitting breaks and putting their own interpretation on the track to crown four and a half hours of dancing shows how far many people have come in a very short time in dancing.................
Peter and Amy were brilliant, their solo 'freestyle' slot looked effortless and I hope that one day my dancing can look half that good.
Back to Night Prowler, where Trouble and I played with each other (in a dancing context of course) throughout the track to the point that I got so hot and bothered that I finished the dance and walked off the floor to go outside immediately to cool off! You have to get down and dirty to Night Prowler and Trouble you definitely made sure that we did.
I'm missing Southport so looking forward to the Jivenites Oakham anniversary on 16 Feb.
